SUNDAY SATSANG ONLINE, 11 AM ARIZONA TIME
One of the deepest “truths” one can discover, is that you are not your body. Acceptance of this truth created a great turn around in Nisargadatta who contemplated this no-bodyness for three years leading to his great awakening.
Observing one’s own sense of self, we eventually learn we are both everything and nothing. We experience all kinds of inner and outer sensations and feelings that we can attach a name to, explore them thoroughly, and eventually let those experiences go, saying they are not really me. This goes even for awareness and consciousness itself. Yes, we are these states for a time while we explore them and label their characteristics, but then we lose interest and let go of them as being me.
An even deeper “truth” is that there are no truths. Words and concepts are only generalities, and if we are subtle enough because of years of observing ourselves, we understand that those general words do not fit the subtlety of our beingness. Our self-experience is always changing, changing, changing, and static words can never grasp or convey what we are.
Please attend Satsang and we will explore some things you are and are not.
